Description

Butterfly-shaped solid perfume – gently lift the lid, and blessings follow.
A butterfly rests in your palm—when you open it, the fragrance blooms.
When closed, it presents a serene butterfly—golden edges outline its silhouette,
blue wings shimmer with dazzling light, with two pearls hanging from the tail.
Gently lift the lid—like a butterfly slowly spreading its wings—inside is a warm solid perfume.
Dip your fingertip into a small amount of fragrance and apply it to your wrist,
behind your ears and around your neck.
The top note is rose, followed by raspberry, and finally amber and papyrus.
The fragrance is subtle yet close to the skin—long-lasting and layered.
This is not a perfume; it is an Eastern scent that can be carried anytime—a box that seems to dance lightly.

Originating from the Qing Dynasty court, the butterfly-shaped box.
The design of this perfume box is inspired by the butterfly-shaped boxes commonly found in the Qing Dynasty imperial palace.
Butterflies were a particularly popular theme in Qing court crafts. They appeared on powder boxes, jewelry boxes, and snuff bottles,
as well as in the dressing boxes of imperial concubines. Court craftsmanship follows the principle that “every image must have meaning,
and every meaning must embody auspiciousness”; thus, butterflies were repeatedly used because they carry such auspicious connotations.
The homophony of “butterfly” and “stack” in the Chinese context, where “butterfly” is composed of the characters “胡” and “蝶”.
The character “胡” sounds like “福”, symbolizing couples,
while the character “蝶” sounds like “叠”, conveying the concept of accumulation or layering.
“Fortune comes layer by layer” thus means good luck comes successively and continuously.
Symbolizing the arrival of good fortune and the continuation of auspiciousness,
the butterfly symbolizes the arrival of good luck; at the moment you lift the lid,
the butterfly flaps its wings, conveying this auspicious omen to you—good fortune will come one after another.
Butterfly: a symbol of freedom and beauty
From Zhuangzi dreaming of a butterfly to the legend of Liang Zhu transforming into butterflies,
butterflies have always been associated with beauty, change, and freedom in Chinese culture. They are not heavy, yet carry a lingering charm.
Therefore, when this perfume box opens, it contains not only a box of fragrance but also a continuous flow of good fortune.

The lid sparkles with radiant tones of mother-of-pearl inlay
What is a mother-of-pearl inlay?
Mother-of-pearl comes from natural shells. Artisans grind it into extremely thin sheets and place these sheets beneath decorative patterns.
Due to the natural iridescent effect of the shells, they exhibit hues of green, blue, purple, pink, and gold when illuminated.
In a flash, the colors change.
The luster of mother-of-pearl is not artificially applied; it is natural. Its colors change depending on the angle and light.
When you rotate the perfume box, the colors on the wings shift with your movements—just like a real butterfly dancing lightly in the light.
The rarity of mother-of-pearl craftsmanship
Mother-of-pearl sheets are extremely thin and fragile; whether cutting,
polishing, laminating, or assembling—every step must be extremely precise.
The slightest mistake can render the entire piece unusable.
Therefore, every shimmering stripe on each box is meticulously handcrafted, stroke by stroke.

Hand-painted mother-of-pearl glaze
The blue patterns on the lid are made using hand-painting and mother-of-pearl luster techniques.
The origin of the emperor’s feather
“Sharp jadeite” was originally a traditional Chinese jewelry craft that decorated gold and silver with jadeite feathers,
showing vibrant and bright colors. Today, for protection,
pearl pigments and hand-painting techniques are often used to recreate the same vibrant blue effect.
Hand coloring
The blue is not printed, but hand-painted stroke by stroke.
The subtle gradients and layered patterns of the wing colors rely entirely on the artist’s skill.
Pearl luster and gold edges
The blue feathers are adorned with pearl luster,
edged with gold, and further decorated with small red and blue beads.
The overall design is vibrant yet understated—an epitome of the Eastern court color palette.
Hanging pearls
Two pearls hang from the bottom of the box;
with a gentle movement, they sway, adding a touch of elegance and luxury to the piece.

Note: The top note is rose, and the base note is amber
This is a multi-layered solid perfume with distinct top, middle, and base notes.
Top note | Rose petals · Pink pepper
The first scent is fresh rose petals—soft and slightly sweet;
pink pepper adds a touch of delicate spiciness and brightness,
like the first ray of morning light on the petals.
Middle note | Rose · Raspberry
The rose gradually blooms, becoming fuller and richer than the top note;
the fruity aroma of raspberry emerges, carrying a hint of sweet and sour,
ensuring the floral scent does not feel stale but remains gentle and vibrant.
Base note | Papyrus · Amber
It concludes with papyrus and amber. Papyrus adds a dry, crisp woody note,
while amber provides a warm, skin-friendly finish.
The overall fragrance is soft, becoming increasingly tranquil over time.
Neither strong nor cloying, suitable for daily use,
or when you want to incorporate a touch of Eastern charm.
